Our apprentice programme provides a route into accountancy directly from school or college and is ideal for those who have decided not to go to university.
If you choose a general accountancy route you will initially study the AAT qualification. You will be based in one or more of our main corporate teams and your work experience will be broad, exposing you to bookkeeping, processing payments, updating cash books, preparation of VAT returns, preparation of corporate tax returns and audit work. Once you have completed your AAT qualification you will generally settle into a specific corporate team and study the ACA qualification.
If you choose the Private Client Tax route you will be based in one of the Private Client Tax teams and study the ATT qualification followed by the CTA or ACA qualification. Your day to day work will be based around preparing tax returns for high net worth clients.
The purpose of our apprenticeship programme is to build managers and partners for the future.
Whatever route you choose, we will give you the best opportunity to succeed and progress through the firm. You will be fully funded to study at the best tuition centres in London and locally. You will be fully supported throughout your training programme through external courses, in-house technical updates and knowledge sharing, on the job training, mentoring programmes and regular feedback and reviews. Once qualified, your professional learning is supported through further qualifications or other training and development interventions.
Entry Requirements: generally we expect you to have Maths and English GCSE at grade 5 (grade C) or above. For any other entry requirements (some apprenticheships may require A levels) please review the job specifications on the vacancies page.
